The supreme Holy Grail of collecting.
Created in 1998 as a prize for winners of the CoroCoro Comic illustration contests, Pikachu Illustrator is the only card in the entire TCG to replace the "Trainer" header with "Illustrator". With approximately 39 official copies and a single PSA 10 unit recorded worldwide, it stands as the ultimate collector relic.
The Story of an Impossible Trophy
Between 1997 and 1998, Japanese magazine CoroCoro Comic held three illustration contests inviting readers to submit their own Pokémon drawings. Winning entrants received 20 printed copies of their customized design alongside this exclusive trophy card illustrated by Atsuko Nishida — Pikachu’s original creator. Featuring a fountain pen symbol in the bottom right corner and double-star rarity, it remains the ultimate treasure.
